Read Pat Metheny first.
This is an hour-long concert of the Pat Metheny Trio. I guess one way to pull off jazz with a power trio is to have a killer guitar player. It is worth watching. Around minute 40 Pat pulls out a weird guitar and does some weird stuff for about six minutes. Other than that I thought it was pretty cool.
This vidy is very cool. It is good to see someone playing an electric bass.

Just for clarification I don't want to play any Metheny, I just put these up as a reference as to what we could potentially sound like or something.
